The Little Lilypad is a lifestyle blog mostly written by a mum to two beautiful, cheeky and entertaining daughters. It is sometimes written by the Man on the Pad or by one of our baby bloggers. Occasionally we accept guest posts too. There is frequently talk of sustainable living, saving money, lifestyle and travel. It is hopefully helpful, sometimes funny and always honest.

Remember, Remember the 5th of November ....

We know it is not quite the 5th of November but this weekend will see lots of bonfires and firework displays and whilst it is an exciting time for children, it is always useful to have a reminder about safety too.

So we are pleased to share this infographic from the Army Cadets which is a good reminder (and looks great too).

  1. We have a family Bonfire night every year and now the girls really enjoy it but a few years ago they hated it and we'd have to sit indoors :)

  2. We may visit a local show but we stand outside of the area and look in, im not a lover of them and little man hates the noise, safety is paramount x

  3. My son was always terrified of fireworks after going to a party when he was about 2 and the father letting off a very loud banger without any notice. Took years before he could cope with Bonfire nIght. Much prefer organised events now, or just watching from our window!!

  4. This is so so important. It's unbelievable how many accidents happen because of stupidity and carelessness.

  5. Personally can't stand fireworks! the cats hate them and freak out and I've seen too many injuries in A&E to make them fun to watch!

  7. Some brilliant facts there, I didn't know Westminster had a ban on them until 2011, but I suppose it makes total sense!
