The Little Lilypad is a lifestyle blog mostly written by a mum to two beautiful, cheeky and entertaining daughters. It is sometimes written by the Man on the Pad or by one of our baby bloggers. Occasionally we accept guest posts too. There is frequently talk of sustainable living, saving money, lifestyle and travel. It is hopefully helpful, sometimes funny and always honest.

Wot So Funee : You sit on a sofa

The toddler has been showing some challenging behaviour this week and has been exerting a little defiance in her usually sunny diposition, none more so than at her swimming lessons!

We all know that she has Nanny wrapped around her little finger (but I also remember Mum's discipline when I was a child so she stands no messing) but today's swimming lesson meant that there were times when she half heartedly did the strokes she was supposed to and others when she just said no.

I know that at her age, she needs to test her boundaries, find the right levels and start to understand discipline, order and hopefully a little diplomacy but today, when Kate her swimming teacher  asked her to sit on a woggle in the pool today, she simply looked up and said "Oh Kate, you don't sit on a woggle, you sit on a sofa!"

Noodle

Nanny ended up swallowing a load of water through laughing and I think those diplomacy skills still need a little honing!

Have your little ones said anything funny this week? The Wot So Funee linky is being hosted by Stressy Mummy, go and have a look at the posts linking up!

  1. Oh I do love it when they get all superior on the adults :) She's quite right, of course!

  2. Oh bless her! I love it when they say things like that and I bet the tone was "are you completely stupid?" too as my daughter has perfected that tone. Brilliant
