We recently ran a competition with Spoilt Rotten and they kindly gave us the opportunity to review one of their gorgeous babygrows, so as part of our Baby Blog, we bring you our baby bloggers thoughts ......

The first thing I loved about receiving the Spoilt Rotten Future Firefighter Babygrow, was the adorable packaging; a cute milk carton that clips together at the top which made it feel like you were indeed going to be spoilt with something special!

The babygrow was neatly folded inside and you couldn't help but love the super soft material, and how it felt better quality than your standard high street vests. 

The design was exactly as I expected from what I'd seen online and it was exciting to have something that felt 'personalised' for our baby boy (his dad is a fireman after all). This is what I love about Spoilt Rotten, there are so many unique designs to choose from that you are bound to find something that is relevant to the child you are buying for, and this makes it a perfect choice if you are buying a gift.

The sizing felt about right (6-12 months), however it would probably be a little on the large side for an average 6 month year old, but they can always grow into it. The important techy bits of the babygrow are:

• 100% thick Organic Cotton at 200gsm
• Certified high standards of Global Organic Textiles Standard, Soil Association and Fair Wear Foundation.
• No chemicals used to ensure no cotton fibres are damaged to ensure a super soft feel (it really does)
• Envelope Style neck for easy change (who doesn't want an easy life)

The great thing about the Spoilt Rotten products is that they are not your regular baby outfits but I think that's what makes it so special and worth splashing out for, nothing wrong with being spoilt rotten once in a while!

I love the theatre.

I love the emotions a live show can evoke.

I love revelling in the story telling.

I love watching the dancers and remembering how I dreamt of dancing at the royal variety performance as a child.

I want my girls to love it too but what age is suitable to take children to the theatre?

It is safe to say that babies are not really the ideal audience for any show and you won't be thanked by the rest of the audience either if the baby starts screaming during the performance.

Toddlers love to explore, so unless the show is something that really captures their attention (or you have a very compliant toddler), it wouldn't be my recommendation to take really small children either.

When they reach school age, they are used to sitting down for longer periods of time but like a toddler, it needs to be something that captures their imaginations. Think more like Scooby Doo mysteries than Les Miserables.

I used to love Scooby Doo when I was younger and my godson has this strange obsession with a very stretchy Scooby Doo toy, so I was delighted to find out that they are actually doing a stage show called:

Mystery of Scooby Doo Live Show

The show surrounds Scooby Doo, Shaggy, Velma and Daphne as they arrive in Egypt to solve the mystery of Pharoh Hatchespouts Pyramid. The show looks awesome but is quite a way for us to travel but having looked at the hotels close by, there are some great deals to be had with Holiday Inn hotels:

We could make a weekend of our first theatre trip and to help keep the children quiet ...... we need to remember our Scooby snacks!

When I agreed to become part of the Wot So Funee team, I knew that comedy wasn't my forte. I am the kind of person that thinks of a brilliant response ten minutes after a conversation has ended. I am REALLY funny by text message, as I have a chance to think about my reply. This however, is not the case for my youngest daughter.

She is a toddler, so provides us with no end of amusing anecdotes but this week she reached a new level.

It has been sunny and there is no escaping the need for sunscreen, hats and sunglasses ...... well unless you are Daddy apparently.

Toddler : Why are you putting that cream on your face Daddy?

Daddy : Because its sunny.

Toddler : Why are you wearing sunglasses Daddy?

Daddy : Because its sunny.

Toddler : Why are you wearing a hat Daddy?

Daddy : Because it's sunny

Toddler : Don't do that Daddy .... it will hide your beautiful face.

Should I be concerned that she has never questioned me putting cream on my face?

Rules are simple:

Wake up and smell the roses. What does it even mean? I think that it actually comes from a mixing up of metaphors, namely;

• Stop and smell the roses (rough meaning: appreciate life).

• Wake up and smell the coffee (rough meaning: get real)

I think "appreciate life" is much more agreeable than simply "get real" and today the sun is shining and we have been outside appreciating it.

Unfortunately our morning has been more about running through the daisies and blowing bubbles than actually stopping and smelling the roses, (maybe I should scour those gifts for her and get some roses shipped in), but in the meantime, we have been appreciating the little things.

Appreciating a day when the pollen count isn't too high, as the little one suffers with a touch of hay fever.

Watering my hand made hanging basket and actually seeing the flowers grow.

We have made daisy chains.

We have "tested" to see if we like butter .... using the very technical method of a buttercup under your chin.

We have blown bubbles into the wind.

We have run away from bumble bees.

We have chased squirrels out of the garden.

We have spent no money. We have used no technology. We just woke up and appreciated life. Roses might have been nice but the daisies worked as a pretty good substitute!
